Boats Afloat Show gearing up for 40th year

August is fully upon us, and while we don’t like wishing away any of the summer, it’s hard not to think about the upcoming Boat’s Afloat Show on South Lake Union.

Seattle’s 40th annual Lake Union Boats Afloat Show launches September 13th – 16th. With over 225 new and used vessels on display, you can tour cabin cruisers to sailboats, performance ski boats to hundred-foot mega-yachts.

Also on had will be a number industry professionals ready to answer your questions, including marine lenders, insurance, parts/services and the latest innovations in accessories and gear. Find out more about boats and venders at www.boatsafloatshow.com.

As always, the show will feature power and sailboat rides, docking lessons, kids activities and much more.

Notable boats this year will be: an Oyster 53 presented by Swiftsure Yachts, Ocean Alexander 88 displayed by Alexander Marine USA, 2018 Lindell 42 Navigator by Inside Passage Yacht Sales, Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490 by Marine Servicenter, Beneteau First 20, Oceanis 38.1, Oceanis 41.1, and two Oceanis 45s by Signature Yachts, and many more.

The South Lake Union Boats Afloat Show runs from Thursday Sept. 13 – Sunday Sept. 16 and will be open weekdays 11am – 6pm and weekends 10am – 6pm.

You can purchase tickets online —  www.boatsafloatshow.com — and receive one-year of Sea magazine and Boating World subscriptions and be entered to win two round trip tickets on Kenmore Air to Victoria or the San Juan Islands, valued at $800.

 Cost of admission is $14 for adults / $5 for kids 12-17 (kids 11 and under are free), $25 for All Access Pass – good for all days of the show, weekdays 4-6 pm: $7.
